To The Baron,

I really enjoyed listening to your show, The Broken hours. Your pre-recorded summers were something that i wish i had more of on cassette. I was maybe 14 or 15 and stumbled across your show late one night. That this was just the most outrageous thing. The remix of stuff you played swapped in with all notions of audio clips were very funny.

I remember as teen listening with my jaw dropped and pillow propped up under my head thinking this was some great kinda pirate radio ;-). Some things i still recall to this day.

There was a lady who used "Radio as her Bomb". I'm guessing for social activism.
For many weeks you declared " Radio was my Comb" with never explaining just what the heck that was. So i got up the gumption to personally write you a letter. In it you explained her position, but that you used Radio for personal grooming!
LMAO.. GREAT STUFF!
Thats when i got more involved and actually called in and had this idea to try Dungeons and Dragons over the radio. O_o.
Looking back, you never shot me down or said " hey bad idea". You in fact kinda encouraged it. Admittedly i never got the details to work, but...

Just want to say thanks for your show. Good Times!!

-michael

Hi Baron, Ed Jones writing, from Satyricon. We used to kick it a bit back in the day. I found you because I was doing a search for Portland Poets and landed in your blog. I am a painter now. I have had several art shows at 3 Friends Coffee shop, which is a block from my art studio. You say in your profile that you design websites -What do you charge?

Small were the hours spent pondering life's absurd journey, led by a Scotsman standing guard over your soul in the downtown Rialto.

Wishing you well, from an ocean away.
